The Archaeologist’s Home was acknowledged by the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF 2007-2013) as one of the 100 best start-ups and innovative companies in Greece, thanks to which the company is now a reality. It is believed to be the first of its type in Greece and one of the very few worldwide to specialise in matters concerning archaeology. The Archaeologist’s Home starts its work with services directly related to new technologies such as document digitisation and design of archaeological websites, as well as a new editorial house. Future plans include the broadening of services offered within archaeology and cultural life in general.

The Archaeologist’s Home was founded during the turmoil of the recent financial and cultural crisis in Greece. Its primary aim is to bring new, innovative and imaginative ideas to archaeology and Greek culture in general. In particular to act as a home for archaeologists as well as those working more generally within the field and to enable them to achieve their full potential.
